| Close to three years ago I went through the absolute horror of having to bury my baby boy. Something I never thought I would have to do and an experience that was scary, painful and just plain dark. A few very special souls stood out to me during that time and George was one of them. He was one of the directors at my son's funeral. In the days leading up to the funeral I found it very difficult to be seperated from my baby and so I requested to visit him at the funeral home. Of course my request was warmly welcomed. Every day there was George, meeting me at the door, giving me a big hug and very carefully and gently bringing my son to me so that I could hold him and spend time with him. I could stay for as long as I wanted. George showed me understanding, empathy, compassion and respect. On the morning of the funeral when I went in for one last cuddle with my son before the service, George was right there by my side as I put my baby down and watched the lid close over him for the last time. I felt like I had a true supportive friend with me through the whole process. He was beyond professional and yet still the most compassionate and loving person in the room. He helped make my son's farewell the most beautiful and memorable experience. I will never forget it. We need the right people doing the job when we are faced with the heartbreaking task of planning a funeral for someone we love. George is that person.
